    The wiper blades may be cheap to replace. But on mono-wiper Benz models, there are some mechnical bits that just go boom.. (like the brittle aging plastic gears). And then your retracting function bites the dust. Last time I read, parts cost was around 5k. The W201 early models have non-retracting monowipers, the later ones are retracting .. meaning the wiper arm extends at a certain position, to effectively wipe a large portion of the windshield.

    Yeah .. its kinda corny and plain dumbass stupid seeing people convert their cars to single wiper set-ups and not thinking about how are they gonna see thru all that rain!

    The Citroen CX (1974 - 1991) had one wiper.

    ^^ naka design talaga sa isang wiper kaya pag naka off, hindi siya sagabal sa windshield, pero yung ibang gingawang isa na lang lalo na sa mga taxi, hirap kase yung wiper motor nila pag 2 blades lalo na pag malakas ang ulan
