MRT tickets: what's the deal?

this reminds me of the current HK subway system; imbes na card, they use some sort of tiny device that you can actually hang off your bag, bracelet, etc. idaan mo lang sa reader, ayos na. hmmm, ma investigate nga ung sistema nila...

for octopus cards lang at yun. pero kung single-journey ka, tickets pa din.
