    They are called the Arapaimas. Yup your right! They are on the same family as of the Arowanas. They are usually found at South Africa and hunt by natives long long way ago.

    Ever wondered why the sign "Do not to extend your arms"? It's because much like the Arowanas, in the wild they jump towards the surface of the water darting to their prey. If you see dolphins jumping from the water during exhibitions, the arowanas and arapaimas retarct their long slender bodies similar to a snake in a zigzag form and then suddenly straighten their body so that it will propel itself out of the water and reach their preys hanging from the branches of trees.

    Just imagine that!
