Happened to me before at LCM in Divi. I parked there at 7am and went to 168. When I finished around lunch time, my parking bill was 300. Lesson learned the hard way.

But I get the point - that parking was for customers of LCM, not for patrons of other establishments. I have no bitter feelings towards Megaworld for that. I really don't understand why these people who don't work in Uptown's offices or malls are complaining when Uptown doesn't want them to park in their space.

But what about those who work in Uptown? They are affected by the price increase as well. I understand if they will complain. There's an office building connected to Uptown diba? I was surprised when my friend told me they have no allotment.

May Uptown Parade pa naman. Or dapat ba covered ang parking nila? Aba sosyal naman. [emoji23]

That's their companies' fault for not buying slots for their employees. Negosyo ang parking, why wouldn't Megaworld want to maximize rental income. Captured market ang office workers. They will go there regardless, and if they want to park, they have to pay up. For mall goers, they have the option of choosing other malls in the area if they can't park easily at Uptown. Actually, one of the big come-ons of Uptown when it was new was that there was always parking, as compared to Serendra or High Street where parking can be a pain.

It's the sad reality of capitalism and one of the burdens of car ownership.

Samin lang eh umaaray kame if maubusan ng free slots and pay parking slots sa building.

to add the maximum charge if mag beyond 8 hrs ka is 110 lang ha hehe (Estancia mall parking) dame nag react nung inalis yung flat rate, kako hindi naman tayo mall goers bago pa man mag bukas yung mall andame na agad nakapark sa kanila for the whole day.

May flat rate na 30 pesos open parking kaso bilad oto mo, pag sinuwerte ka pa if may event double parking galore mga sasakyan hindi ka makakalabas agad.

The parking rates are so bad that I took a part time job in the same area as my day job that has very low pay but provides me a parking slot. [emoji28]

I was thinking since Uptown has an office building/floors then they should have allotted pay parking for tenants or visitors in the building.

Don't we have rules or building codes (?) where x sq m/floors = x parking space.

    maraming businesses na ganyan.
"you wanna park? you pay up."
in certain hospitals, even the doctors have to queue and pay up, just like the rest of the public.

The idiot who hit me last December, asked for several gives to settle damages incurred even if i already gave leeway on the time to collect (which is quite small if you ask me). No insurance and his car is still on hulugan with a loan shark it seems.

Megaworld really charges for parking. That's precisely why I get turned off from going to Eastwood too (around P 55.00 for the first charge).

[emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

"One of the pinpoints that BGC gets from people is that the city lacks parking. According to PD. No. 1096 R.A. No. 6541 or National Building Code of the Philippines, it is required to provide 1 parking slot per 100sqm. of development production area. In BGC, FBDC requires 1parking slot per 70sqm. which means BGC has 30% more than what is required."

Meron mga parking ayaw lang siguro maglakad saka ayaw ng nakabilad sa araw mga sasakyan nila

The guards at the pharmacy is suppose to check on those vehicles parked in the lot. Most of the violators are actually St Luke's employees or visitors.

But there's so much parking space at SLMC? Why would they park at Mercury? My cousin works at SLMC and employees have flat rate parking. I don't remember the rate but it is really cheap (less than P100).

If visitor, why hassle yourself waiting for space, parking under the sun and crossing the road going to the hospital.

Yes I know. Pero bakit sila magpark sa Mercury kung may parking sa St Luke's? Sobrang kuripot at kapal mukha naman kung gusto lang maka libre. Wow.
