i north edsa'd yesterday sunday.

it was horrible!
traffic was bad; the roadworks were partly to blame.
parking was packed! i finally settled for the 6th level roofdeck at the annex.
the inside of the mall was teeming with humen and huwomen! the clothes and shoes areas were a beehive of activity. must be the impending face to face school opening.
and thee seiko store didn't have the part i suspected needed replacement.
"in the meantime, subukan nyo ito: ibilad nyo po nang 2 straight weeks sa tapat nang bumbilya. LED po, para hindi ma-init."

my in-laws live in the vicinity.
we frequented north edsa during week-ends, back when it was just the basic building, when there weren't yet the block nor the annex.

nowadays, i sm at manila city hole and molopisya. traffic is less, parking is manageable, and, if i time it right, not too many people.

I hate crowded malls. I avoid SM North lalo na pag weekends. If I need to go there, pupunta ako ng weekday na alannganin na oras.

SM cannot be sosy. They failed sa nilalangaw na SM Podium. Ginagawa parkingan yan para pumunta ng sm megamall. Early 2000 pa yan ginagawa ko.

Dati ko pa sinasabi ito na SM hindi sila pwede sa sosy business kasi its a business na langaw overprice.

What sm is doing now eh pang international standard but not sosy.

Ayala should just make a mall in a hotel. Yan ang target market nila. Wag na sila magpaka-masa kasi trying hard.

It's SM na gusto kunin ang market ng Ayala kaya nga there is Podium and Aura. So how is it na Ayala ang nakikihati?

kaw naman doc. Prepandemic patay na si glorietta ilan beses na ako nagpost dito. On a sunday at 9:30am si megamall ang haba na ng parking pero si glorietta petiks na petiks. I posted a video of a blogger wala ka stress stress pumunta kasi weekends patay ang makati pero nahilo sa paradahan sa paliko-liko maze runner hahahah!!!

Sukatin nyo width ng parking ng sm sa parking ng ayala. Tapos sabihin nyo sa akin target market ni ayala sosy

Pinaniwala kayo sosy pero BOLAHAN TIIS-GANDA.

HM, Uniqlo and Ikea are NOT premium brands. Those are affordable brands. You think those are "sosy" brands because you're using the Philippines as a benchmark but the strength of these companies are its low price strategy.

Contradicting ka kasi sinasabi mo pasosyal ang Ayala so that leaves the competitor SM but you said hindi rin sosyal ang SM. So who caters to the premium market then?

You suggest that those who can afford it fly every time they need to buy something? You need to cater to the premium market in a place that is near/convenient. Ikaw lang ang mahilig sa term na sosy sosy, ang target market iba iba classification nyan - Geographic, Demographic (Age, gender, income, education and even religion and race), Socioeconomic class and lifestyle etc. Hindi ka kasi nakinig sa school kaya yung knowledge mo puro observation Sa market positioning pa lang ng H&M, Uniqlo at Ikea bokya ka na

Bago ka pa ipanganak may malls na ang Ayala so why do you want them to stop building malls because you think so? BTW, I don't go to Ayala Malls because I think it's "sosy" I go there because it's convenient and familiar to me. Geographic target market, kaya nga malls are being put up in different locations because they want to cater to that location.
Hindi ba it's SM that weaseled their way in BGC when they were not allowed there? So sino dikit ng dikit sa Ayala?

Yung SM north and Megamall galing na sa tsikoteers ang hirap ng parking, aabutin ka ilang oras just to park. Sa Ayala malls maraming alternative parking buildings. I've said repeatedly Greenbelt 3 and Central Square parking napaka simple at maluwag. Best of all, you don't need to wait for a slot.

Anyway, I will not respond to your non sense anymore, kasi mali mali e. Kausapin ko na lang yung mga nagkakaintindihan kami which is the rest of the board HAHAHA

I was at SM North 2 weeks ago.. iba talaga crowd don.. parang class C D E, ibang iba sa crowd sa Ayala - Glorietta Greenbelt / Shangrila / Estancia..

Pang masa talaga level ko. Class D at E. SM north or megamall, saka Greenhills Shopping Center.

Maybe I could recommend SM to have a survey form in QR Code for customer's going out that includes how's your shopping experience? are you class A, B, C or D, E?

I prefer malls na konti tao. 20 years ago, madalas ako sa SM North EDSA kasi doon din ako pumipila sa FX or nagaabang ng bus na hihinto pauwi ng province. Ok pa sa akin dami ng tao noon. Pero grabe na talaga population ngayon and dagsa talaga sa SM. Since prefer ko ang konti ang tao sa mall, Greenbelt naging go-to mall ko the last few years pre-pandemic dahil malapit lang sa dati kong office. Convenient sa akin.
