I'm not saying that those who have enemies are necessarily clean, but if your enemies are the type who shoot their detractors, then you must be doing something right. Ergo, the enemies of the evil must be... errh... good?

Don't get me wrong, I've had my fill of of wannabe socialists and communists in College and I've had hair-tearing moments when talking to student journalists who wouldn't know responsible journalism if it hit them in the face, but I don't think there's any journalistic crime that warrants violence as an answer. A libel case should be enough if the cause is just. If the answer is a bullet, that's an automatic indictment of guilt for the slandered party, to me... if not of the issue at hand, then of murder, at least.

Just re-read your last statement. Still feels kinda harsh, but I'm in the pilosopo mood right now anyway... haaay.
