November 11th, 2004 06:40 PM #1tanong ko lang po... does anyone know where I can buy a brand new Nokia 8910i and around how it costs? I know it's already old, but I really like this phone because of its elegant look as well as its compactness. Does anyone have a similar model? Any feedback? A second hand unit in good condition will also be fine with me. thanks!:D

hmmm...medyo mahirap na yata maghanap niyan sir...the 8910 i has more features, color display and comes in black titanium casing...
bought my wife 8910(not the i version) noon, gold/beige color...locked sa Globe network...pinapaltan namin ng parts sa Semicon months ago dahil sakit niyan eh nasisira ang mike dahil sa sliding feature nito...we might sell it kapag nakuha pa namin yung isang application namin sa Smart...

we have a small quantity left in our stocks of the 8910i (Sun Cellular)
the prepaid phonekit price is around P33K.
for a 30-months lock-in period here are the prices (a bit steep though):
plan 250: 24.5K
plan 600: 18K
plan 1000: 13.5K
plan 2000: 5K
plan 3500: free

masakit lang pag masira yung slide, you can't just replace the spring. you have to replace the whole mechanism which costs around 9k.

November 12th, 2004 10:25 AM #5Thanks guys! Your comments are very helpful. I guess I just have to look for another model. Mukhang hindi worth it. Mahal na, mas mahal pa kung masira!

November 12th, 2004 10:53 AM #7tama yung secision mo pare. I got an 8910 for the same reasons as you. I got mine brand new for p 12,000 because it was small and had bluetooth to pair with my Tungsten T.
for the first 6 months, okay sya. but once you drop it, wala na, start na ng problems with the slide and the mic, as mentioned before.
i ended up giving my phone to someone who i owed P2500 to.
i replaced it with a t610 and am quite satisfied. mahina lang talaga ang signal.
i have learned my lesson to stay away from phones with moving parts. especially yung spring-loaded, kagaya ng 8910

November 12th, 2004 12:51 PM #10yung spring-loaded mechanism of the 8910 is entirely different from the 7650. i don't know about the samsung.
yung sa 7650, you assist it manually. sa 8910, pushbutton tapos it does the rest. so i had problems with both the push button and the railing/spring.
but that is my experience only. if you really want to get it, then by all means go ahead. pero medyo mahal pa rin talaga ang presyo, as listed in the previous posts.
