DAHIL sa depresyon, nagpakamatay ang 18-anyos na babaeng apo ni dating Manila Mayor Lito Atienza makaraang tumalon mula sa ika-45 palapag ng tinutuluyan niyang condominium, kamakalawa ng hapon sa Makati City.

Agad namatay si Andrea Georgia “Adi” Atienza Beltran, estudyante ng Edelyn Colleges, sa Global City, Taguig, at kasalukuyang naninirahan sa West Tower 1 Condominium, 1 Rockwell Drive, Barangay Poblacion, naturang lungsod.

Ayon sa Makati City Police, alas-3:00 ng hapon nang maganap ang insidente sa 45th floor ng naturang condominium.

Nabatid na kusang tumalon ang biktima mula sa kanyang unit na nagresulta ng pagkalasog-lasog ng katawan at pagkamatay nito.

Lumalabas na nakararanas ng matinding depresyon ang biktima at may sakit na anorexia, kung saan nabatid na matagal na itong nagbantang magpapakamatay.

Ayon sa isang source, ayaw ipalabas sa media ang naturang insidente kung kaya’t news blackout ang kanilang pinaiiral sa ngayon.

Tumanggi ang pamilya ng biktima na ipa-autopsy ang bangkay at pagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon hinggil sa insidente. Jay Reyes

So the granddaughter committed suicide because of depression and you want the media to feast on this?

No crime has been committed therefore the family have the right to blot this out of the news.

This thread should not be closed, wala pa namang nagmumura. besides, lessons could be glimpsed from this tragedy.
Depression is prevalent nowadays and also many decades ago. it may be hereditary, or acquired due to the circumstances of life. It can be 'cured' or suppressed. The web is full of methods of dealing with behaviour. Imo, the healthiest method is 'brain entrainment' wherein you train your brain instead of your brain training you.

BE can be applied in our daily ritual to change our outlook towards life. Bad habits could be curtailed like smoking, drugs and changing bad attitudes. Once in a while, when i feel depressed, i listen to a 'will to live' tone. We are controlled by the frequency of our brains. when we sleep, freq will go down to less than 8hz. when we focus or concentrate, it will go up to 40hz. ^^ This thread is not about getting lesson from the tragedy. It's about bashing the news blackout because of the influence of the "Bible thumping" grandfather.

TS is an atheist by the way hence the "Bible thumping" description of the former Mayor.

Thread reeks lack of class.
