The problem with the skyway really is the lack of speeding guns at night
We know that these guns are much more expensive, but they are necessary
Buses would obey the law during the day, but at night...... they go 120+ easily

Another thing is that they have recently repaved that area, as of now, there are no lines at all on the road
Im not sure if that could be a cause for the accident

Survivor recounts how he survived Skyway accident - YouTube

The Skyway should ban all kind of buses and trucks in using it's elevated road. They have higher risk of accident due to poor maintenance and driver behavior. If they let them use it, surely won't be the last & more to come.

The local speed cops have a new toy. A speed gun with night vision camera that is good enough to capture your plate number from 500 meters away at night. So far they have just ONE of this because it's pretty expensive. No word if it's laser or radar based though.

I know its elitist, but they simply arent fit for the roads, much less the skyway

According to the conductor's wife. Her husband and the driver were driving the bus for 2 days straight. WTF!

According to the survivors, they were awake so they able to brace themselves before the crash. Most of the fatalities were the ones sleeping.

It's good to know that there were people who survived. I was afraid that there were no survivors. Bus drivers should be extra diligent when driving talaga. They are handling a huge vehicle that can cause a lot of damage and they are responsible for the lives of a lot of people. Buses don't have seatbelts pa..,

Don't these buses undergo regular inspection? At the minimum during registration? Unless in less than a year e nakakalbo na brand new tires ng bus? Geez!!!

Heard an interview with the relatives of the bus conductor. The conductor knew bus driver was reckless...

The bus also fishtailed out of control before hitting the railing according to initial video findings...
