    another rant...

    is another vat increase really necessary?

    i believe that if only the tax system was more efficient and the money actually gets directed to where it's supposed to go (read: NO KURAKOT), then there's no need to further tax the people. we'd have more schools, better roads, etc...

    yup, oil prices here in the philippines is much lower compared to other countries. Why? because hindi ini implement ang clean air act, alam ko kung ii implement nila un strictly, baka halos ma doble presyo ng gasolina

    the Philippines has one of the lowest tax (except for corporate) in Asia. plus, it is only expanded... meaning it'll cover some products which was not covered before.

    problem is that there are numerous tax leaks everywhere (well, due to the corporations trying to pay lower taxes).
