    tsikoteers,

Re congratulatory tarpaulins... A lot of filipino families dont have much. And financing the education of a child is a result of a lot (years and years) of sacrifices. Usually the whole family pitches in pa to the point where other siblings have to give way and stop their schooling. So i wont take that away from them. It's something to be proud of and congrats to them.

Others though just want to brag.

i passed two board exams and one subspecialty exam in my lifetime.
    walang nagpagawa nang tar-po-lean.

    and spinner is right.
the parents are proud of their child's achievement.
it takes a parent to realize how the other parent feels.

kagalingan seems to lack the ability to see things thru the eyes of other people

big deal sa kanila yun so syempre it's something to celebrate

in affluent societies it's already expected that everyone finishes school and expected to pass board exams

hindi big deal yun and you probably only go out to dinner to celebrate

tsaka ano icecelabrate mo you haven't proven yourself yet

Using Lebron as an example. si Bronny ang first "James" to step into college. so that's the poor guy na yung panganay nya makakapasok na sa university.

pero the expectations will change once Bronny enters the NBA

The poor guy gets to celebrate something that's not been done in his family
But a King has higher expectations
