agree with happy gilmore=)
however xenical, reductil, xando and other slimming products has its own side effects be cautious before taking one, what is important is to create and maintain a healthy diet, kepp your food intake low in fat, low in sodium, that would mean avoid any fat at all times, avoid salty foor as well, if you have to eat your food bland better, and stick with the habit, because if you start losing few lbs then you went back to your habit or say you have a good start, then one weekend you went out with your friends and you eat your hearts you telling yourself that youll not eat tomorrow, that would be a major mistake.
if your find it hard to start up with a healthy diet, start slow, count the calories you eat, there are books and guide sold at bookstore wherein you can estimate the calories of what you eat, you should stick to the appropriate amount of calories depending on your weight, age, physical/biological consideration
then burn the calories and excess calories, one good way is doing a cardiovascular workout, aerobics, threadmil, sattionary bike, badminton are some of the good cardio vasculoar exercise you can start with, maintain a regular pace, start with at least 15 mins a day, the gradually progress till you could do 45 min or more a day at least 3-4 times a week.

fat is also necessary in a good diet. Essential fatty acids found in fish and nuts actually help lose weight. Good fat encourages bad fat out.

Baka puwede na sa 2 miles a day na lakad yan tsaka improved diet ika nga nila.
Ok din itong thread na ito, ganon pala ang xenical, sa current food lang may epekto, hindi sa dati nang taba.

For those experienced Xenical users out there. 4 out of 4 of our family doctors recommend it as it does not have any downside daw, in fact one of them uses it regulary because she does not have the time to exercise.
But we have heard of some users who experience palpitations which prompted them to discontinue. Any comments?

One thing most people don't consider is MAINTENANCE....
It's really not hard to lose X amount of fat/weight with drugs or ultra intense dietary/exercise changes.
Maintaining it is another matter.
Unless you went under the knife and go through gastric bypass or something drastic, 9/10 will regain the weight and gain MORE weight than before.
It's a proven phenomenon if people diet or exercise or take medicines in phases and not have a long term lifestyle change, you'll just get bigger and bigger, chances are, you'll be better off not doing anything in the first place and stick to whatever diet and activity regimen you had previously.
Going back to topic, though.. Xenical is very effective fat mobilizer... If you're really obese and have a lot of fat, though, taking large amount of fat underneath your skin will cause loose skin...
4KG isn't much, if you're not "fat" per se, that shouldn't be hard to lose in 2-3 months of good diet and moderate exercise... If you need to fast track, Xenical may be an easy track, but I strongly suggest you have a thorough check-up and inform your doctor just to be safe...
A sudden loss of an essential element in your body (fat) may cause your body to panic and crash.
In addition... A HUGE percentage of supplement users give credit to their supplements for results, not realizing that most people actually STARTS TO HAVE BETTER DIETARY HABITS AND EXERCISES MORE while taking in those supplements/medications...
It's like a person driving more conservatively after installing a fuel saving device or driving more aggressively after loading on high octane fuel hehehe.
Xando is a carb blocker, not a fat mobilizer, it simply makes you crave for carbs less... If you don't want to eat carbs, chances are, the proteins that come with your meal won't seem as appetizing (imagine salty adobo without rice, a whopper without buns, etc.)
There's no magic to it, at the end of the day, you made a lifestyle change hence the fat loss, the drugs/supplement merely made you commit and gave you a head start.
I'm not against fat loss drugs and stuff, I just wish people will give the natural way a chance first by eating right and move more, then have science assist you along the way.
In short, put some effort in, it's for your own good long term...Last edited by theveed; November 20th, 2007 at 09:38 PM.
