I know may parasite din nakukuha sa (salt?) water, but hindi ko maalala what it was called. Basta ang intermediary host nun was a snail or some other mollusk.

Once it's life cycle in the mollusk is complete, it swims out and infects a suitable human in the water...

Oncomelania quadrasi is the intermediate host of the Schistosoma, the cause of human schistosomiasis.
they thrive in sluggish freshwater shallow water bodies, including rice paddies.
hey! i still remember my parasitology lectures!

    truly,
if the lecturer presents his material interestingly enough, the memory kinda sticks around.
and our lecturer was a world-renowned WHO personality.

Bloodfluke, Liverfluke w/c can be found on freshwater.

Yes doc depending on severity. I also use ivermectin to the canines to get rid of blood sucking parasites like lice and scabies.

Nag aadopt ako ng abandoned dogs & kittens, before i put them in the farm pinapatakan ko ng Pyrantel ang food nila for about 2-4wks treatment. Common symptoms ng intestinal and blood parasites yun mucous in the eyes, it can be transmitted by the ticks/ fleas/ lice

if some of you are wondering why the anti-ivermectin ads have been pulled out of circulation in some countries,
it is because the courts have ordered them so.
it seems, the courts believe, the negative feedback generated by ivermectin vis a vis covid, has spilled over to adversely affect even the legitimate users of the drug, casting ill-repute up on them. it is these folks who petitioned that the negative ads be removed from circulation.
