seriously, ang hirap maging mahirap..hinde yun mga squatter type lang ha...kahit both employed and magasawa pero above minimum lang ang sahod then 2-3 anak nagaaral. hinde ko alam kung paano mapapagkasya yun sweldo...pay check to pay check but problema pag meron nagkasakit...

Maraming tao ang hindi nakakaintindi ng kalagayan ng ibang tao... Pero dito talaga sa Pinas pag ordinaryong mamamayan ka eh mahirap mabuhay ng matino... Isipin mo yung example mo PUJ driver after spending the whole day driving eh swerte na kung maka take home siya ng P300 or kahit P200... Eh kung ganoon baket hindi siya humanap ng pagkakakitaan na mas malake?.. gawin niyang temporary yung pagiging PUJ driver niya? Same with mga minimum wage earner.... Kung bibilangin mo expenses VS Salary eh talagang kulang or sakto lang... Baket hindi gumawa ng ibang paraan... and on the side note baket ganoon ang Minimum Wage natin sobrang baba...

Meron din naman mga taong sobrang babait talaga... I know this Person who is Wealthy... Meron siyang 2 business.. yung isa para sa kaniya and yung isa is para sa iba... Ang business niya para sa iba is "Lending" syempre with interest pero very reasonable ang interest just enough para sa Operation... at ang mga pinapautang nila is yung mga taong gustong magsikap at umasenso, yung mga housewife na mag nenegosyo...

Makes sense. Even with lots of enlightenment drama and gallons of special effects tears, Shadow alone cannot change society. But Shadow + followers + your money can uplift the lives of the less fortunate.

I see it clearly now, it's all part of a well thought plan: Shadow obtains enlightenment and starts his own religious sect. Then he get's the big money, tax free. It's the first step of his Shadow for President movement.

This applied to me when my wife and we both started off (and maybe to a lot of the guys here on tsikot as well): sucky entry level corporate pay, a household to run, two kids to feed, education, etc... but what mattered was pag may extra income, savings agad and thats what we used for the rainy days. The problem with some people is pag may extra (or minsan, hindi pa realized extra income), gastos agad for other unnecessary items so when the crunch comes, they have to resort to utang, pakiusap and even political favors to meet the need, and thus begins the vicious cycle. So the thing is, how do you get people to have the discipline to work hard (which is still inherent in a lot of Pinoys), live within their means, control their multiplication, and think long term?

yup as income grows people tend to adopt a more expensive lifestyle

actually kahit di pa nga tumataas ang income many people already have lifestyles that do not match their income

they have to borrow money to keep up their lifestyle

hirap turuan ang tao to live within their means lalo na when a person is very image conscious

seriously, try to put yourself in their shoes...ako hinde ko talaga alam gagawin ko...yun kwento ko na nasa hospital ka then instead na mag relax ka para mag recuperate mabuti eh hinde mo magawa dahil hinde mo alam paano babayaran yun hospital bills...
