Happy naman ako sa work. Hindi ako happy sa sweldo but there are a lot of non-monetary benefits that I won't be able to get from other companies. That's the reason why I don't want to leave because I doubt na makakahanap pa ko ng boss na kasing bait ng boss ko who lets me get away with murder

I tried to switch industries in my mid 20s, unfortunately, same industry pa din ako bumagsak. If I wasn't able to switch in my 20s, I doubt that I will be able to do it in my 30s. Also, I'm in a "specialist" role so my expertise is not in demand with other companies, it is specific to where I work.

Ang problema, what happens if Cathy's boss is posted to another country? Or leaves the company for greener pasteur?

I'm still happy as of now. I'll leave when I become very unhappy. My family is pressuring me to resign na nga, but I don't think I will ever find a boss that'll let me get away with murder like my boss does. He never says no to me, basta kaya niya binibigay niya. Everyone tells me that I am so lucky with my boss

They already gave me maximum of what they can give. But they can only do so much when they have a maximum allowable increase/bonus set by management.

I leave My boss knows this, and he assured me that he is not going anywhere.

Money is not always the main motivation of everyone... It's a major consideration but it's not always number 1.

Yes he knows this pero our company is in hard times talaga. Yung promotion ko may technicality because HR requires that you stay your post for a minimum number of years, but I already told my boss I want that promotion. Dati kasi ayoko ma promote kasi may okay ang staff, less responsibilities hehehe

My fat lab is so funny, she ran to my room this morning and stole my furry pillow again. I had to chase her around the house and thankfully she did not break anything. What a way to start the day LOL

Sounds like a good plan - stay until your boss is there and enjoy the ride while it lasts. Of course, be ready for the inevitable because your boss can't be there forever.

I have friends from my old company who're on the same boat. The company is a sinking ship and they're really just milking it while they look for a good opportunity elsewhere. Sayang din kasi yung benefits and the easy workload.
