Yes, I definitely don't want to be 100% financially dependent on my husband.

I'll make sure I still have money of my own. I want to be able to buy gifts for my husband that did not come from his own pocket. LOL! There's also a side of me that wants to keep my career. I just can't imagine being pregnant and going to the office.

And I really want to be hands on in taking care of my family. I could just imagine crush, my brother told me, when I have my SO na, I should make sure that I have the toothpaste in his toothbrush ready when he brushes his teeth, that type of alaga daw. I love doing those things

    Cathy's upbringing is like that

i don't expect her to find a cure for cancer or become a CEO

My family is extremely patriarchal. We look up to the men in our family. But the extreme side is if a man is weak, they get absolutely no respect.

My Lola (Dad's side) and my Mom stresses the importance of being a good wife. They have good marriages naman, so I guess it's true. Number 1 rule - don't be dominant!

    Dont take this too personally.

Kawawa naman yung mga boss ko, sa sobrang dami ng ginagawa, nalilito na They don't even know what output they want anymore. Ako naman nangangapa, I don't want to add to their stress.

People are leaving the company and they are not replacing, so more work for those that are left. They cut our team by half already since 2017. And apparently they are expecting more cuts. But as long as my boss is here, as they say "kapit lang" LOL!

Net loss na kasi yung company where we work kaya halos wala ng increase at bonus since last year. Kaya maraming umalis tapos hindi naman pinapalitan. Last year I had to absorb the work of an AVP that was forced to retire. Ang dami rin na redundate this year

I can't. I'm staying as long as my boss is here. Tiis na lang sa sweldo. 10th yr ko na rin in 2019, sayang retirement.

Last man standing na ko, my remaining 2 friends will both be gone by end of the year

40 ka na cath, [emoji111]🏼️ can you really see yourself doing the same thing until sa retirement mo? Assuming you'll be working until retirement age.

This will be the second half of your career, if not now you'll be stuck diyan na lang.

Kurutin kita e! Pinapatanda mo ko parati.

Happy naman ako sa work. Hindi ako happy sa sweldo but there are a lot of non-monetary benefits that I won't be able to get from other companies. That's the reason why I don't want to leave because I doubt na makakahanap pa ko ng boss na kasing bait ng boss ko who lets me get away with murder

I tried to switch industries in my mid 20s, unfortunately, same industry pa din ako bumagsak. If I wasn't able to switch in my 20s, I doubt that I will be able to do it in my 30s. Also, I'm in a "specialist" role so my expertise is not in demand with other companies, it is specific to where I work.
