sa indoor pool ka lumangoy! para na rin, hindi ma-ulanan at hindi mo kailanganing mag-payong-cum-lightning rod.

Some turds sink pretty deep and stay there. Diving as a kid, I found that out the hard way...

Turned me off diving for life.

All the ones I saw floated, coming from the nearby squatter area. The residents used the mangrove swamp as their toilet. Come high tide, everything just floated away to the sea like a giant flush. Pretty efficient, actually unless someone happened to be swimming nearby.

I had a mask and snorkel. So, it's not like I was ingesting anything. But, my mom did have a doctor check me out to make sure I hadn't contracted any skin disease from swimming in sea water.

I wouldn't do it near any makeshift houses near the beach. I don't think any of them have septic tanks that close to the water hehe. Why swim near squatter areas though?

The turd I came into contact with probably came from a fisherman as the island we were snorkeling in was isolated and pretty far away from town.

That's where a distant relative of my mom lived at the time. She had a very nice seaside home that sat there long before the squatters moved in. I had to get away from the heat and humidity. The back of her house was ideally refreshing when the afternoon sea breeze kicked in. Plenty of shade n chairs.

One of my uncles was merchant marine. He's the one who took us swimming at high tide. It was okay the first year I swam there. It was a couple years later when the turds started appearing. After that, I did my swimming at Covelandia near Cavite or the Philamlife Village pool at LPC.

Ang sarap umuwi ng may araw pa

I am so happy that my boss at HQ allowed me to work 8-5, so our VP in Manila approved this (our working hours is 9-6 officially) Since my body clock adjusted and I automatically wake up at 6, I might as well go to work early

I just feel a little guilty for going home so early hahaha. I love my bosses so much
