This time naman, your inputs will be a big help in choosing my roofing. Which one would you suggest, long span puyat steel roofing prepainted or shingles,asphalt-like roofing?

My concern with steel roofing, ayaw ko ingay ng ulan sa bubong especially when watchng TV or DVD.Though cheaper sya and lifetime daw.I was told that may insulation naman daw.

Shingles is more expensive by at least 30%, but would like to know if lifetime din sya.

Kindly help me decide which one to choose, please include the pros and cons.

    Maraming Salamat po in advance.

Shingles is the one to get if silence is your priority. Part of the cost will also depend on the kind of plywood backing on which it's fixed on and which also serves as thermal and sound insulation.

Drawback of shingles is discoloration or fading and algae/mold infestation.

Agree here. This is the material we used in our roof. Am very much satisfied with it.... Comes also in bright colors....

I'd recommend this over asphalt shingles....

If you will compare between long span roofing and Asphalt Shingles.. Asphalt Shingles is the way to go! It doesn't only make your house look elegant it also keeps your house a bit silent when it is raining. It also makes the house cooler on summer compared to long span..

Asphalt Shingles nowadays have Algae Protection depending on the shingles that you will get. It's widely used in Canada and the rest of North America. Now, it's being introduced and used here in the Philippines..

Asphalt Shingles are being used in some resorts here in the Philippines. In Boracay alone you can see that shingles are being used in some of the hotels and villas..

What brands of shingles are available here and which do you recommend. I welcome if there are links you can refer.

Our neighbor's roofing is made of asphalt shingles and it looks elegant indeed. Too bad we can't afford to have our roofing replaced now. hehe.
