Just saw this at Lazada, not that pricey if the quality is good in actual.screenshot_2023-06-12-17-02-04-788_com.lazada.android-edit.jpg

Thank you everyone for the inputs. I like Sir Travs suggestion because it is really a solid way to have a near waterproof kitchen counter. Though we don't like the industrial look of stainless steel and the lackluster of solid surface [emoji3577][emoji28]. So we like to stick to stone as I see other comments having no problem with this.

I am now convinced that this is a design flaw as the sink could not be placed farther from the wall thus the plywood is too narrow to support the weight of the stone. Unless a professional can get over this problem, we decided to replace the counter and the board with PVC sans the sink for now.

As for now the decision is to replace the center island which has a small sink to a two tier counter with a full sink and a bar counter still using stone. This is a cheaper option for us, and I hope I can sell my center island at a good price para makabawi konti sa gastos [emoji16][emoji1696]

Been doing what we do for quite some time. Always feel for the homeowner as I'm 1 1st, builder last. Have seen pretty much everything. Those that fail, those that require periodic maintenance & those that serve like old Toyota workhorses....Again, decisions are all yours to make. I can only share long-term reviews. Watch those seams & joints on stone tops. Silicone & resin seals won't last....But, on the brighter side, failure gives us reason to get something new.[emoji4]

Anyone here have SPC flooring? May disadvantage ba na dapat kong malaman? Considering laying this over my porcelain tiles as I am totally disappointed sa bako bakong installation at hollow portions.

Nag try na ako dati ng laminated planks, problem is madali siya magdumi, may konting tulo lang ng tubig naapakan mo may itim na stain agad though napupunasan naman and it's not waterproof, nataon kasi nag leak ang lababo namin at umapaw sa sahig, lumobo ang planks, para syang laminated na compressed paper.

SPC floors are generally superior over the previous gen laminates. They're more stable, have better moisture resistance than older types but will still require expansion gaps along walls.
However, be choosy on brands. Inferior 1s cheapout on lamination, glue & core composition. I've seen them deteriorate prematurely.
These are also categorised as luxury vinyl. Shop discriminately. Locally, check CMi, they carry quality SPCs w/ a rubber damper layer that absorbs impact, sub-floor imperfections & sound better. If you want premium, Pergo has a luxury vinyl line that are priced accordingly(premium[emoji4]).

Just replaced the flooring of my sister's condo last month with thus new SPC. As sir TRavs said, this has better moisure resistance. Her old wood laminates, naputukan na yung iba. Will probably know in a few years time how this new one held up.

May hollow part yung tiles mo? As in kapak? Naku, paayos mo muna yan before installing SPC flooring on top of it. Pag may umanagat na tile/s, sususnod sunod na rin yung iba.
