March 29th, 2005 03:06 PM #44i have finally made the decision to stick to a 2.1 system na lang. since i really listen to music more that anything else, i think 2.1 is the way to go. what do you guys think? where should i spend my money for a 2.1 system?

March 29th, 2005 03:32 PM #46lucky, alam mo mas maganda talaga ang soundstage sa audio using 2-channel audio
nung nag audition ako nakasalpak na gears ay
Harman Kardon 2550
and Monitor Audio B2
tapos livingston taylor's version is isnt she lovely na chesky records
kapag nakapikit parang nasa harap mo lang siya kaya lang medyo pricey ang entry level na gears na ito.
best pa rin is to audition kasi subjective eh
what sounds good to me might not be your taste

IMHO, the Xa3021 would do quite fine for a home-theater-in-a-box. But I would suggest that you do an audition first, like what Kimpoy recommended, to see what "sound" suits your taste. I currently have a 5.1 setup (wharfdale). Even though the 7.1 is out, I have no plans to change my setup. I'm perfectly happy with it.

March 29th, 2005 03:38 PM #48thanks for the advice kimps and nic, meron kasi akong store credit sa Villman amounting to over P4,000, so i have to buy the item from there. i have decided to go with the Altec Lansing 621. it garnered very good reviews sa internet. cost is P 6,600 for a 2.1 system with wired remote volume control. RMS is 143 watts. (45 per satellite and 53 for the sub) what do you guys think?

So long as you would be happy with it brother, no matter what people say, they I'd say it would be a good buy. Enjoy.
