basta ang importante sa school ay yung mga connections na ma-e-establish mo while you're there

those fellow students you meet in HS/college will be your lifelong friends and business/political connections in the future

so kids, tell your parents to send you to the best damn schools in the country

school where taipans and high level politicians send there kids

amen to that. . .that's how i look at it also, especially here in our country where connections are necessary, or at least can become handy in some situations

That's true. My cousins used these connections to find business opportunities. Some of my batchmates work for the richer ones. Xavier ata pinakadami mga taipan alumnis...

True, mga anak ni Gokongwei, George Ty, Lucio Tan, plus the grandchildren of Henry Sy have studied or are currently enrolled in Xavier. Pati mga anak ni Danding Cojuangco dito din. Pati si Chris Tiu alumni din.

Kung business connections ang pinag-usapan, this school is Top-notch.

I'm surprised why this reason is brought up ONLY NOW...

ako.. tingin ko.. XAVIER has more potential in terms of connections sa mga parents na nag aaral sa school na to... ST JUDE, di pa gaano kalaganap.. perhaps, it's the influence of the school na rin (low profile?)... iilan pa lang ang ST JUDE alumni na occupying high position in government... business wise, may kanya kanyang negosyo... maliit o malaki.. low profile pa din...

as for the english grammar... maybe it's part of the teaching ng school (whatever school) that whatever you are writing, treat it as if it is formal writing and not just forums writing, or diary writing or any other informal writing that some grammer, punctuation rules may be bent...

in addiiton, actually tingin ko rin mas outgoing ang mga XAVIER alumni vs ST JUDE ALUMNI... I feel that mas madali for XAVIER alumni ang makihalubilo sa iba ibang tao from different schools... vs ST JUDE alumni.. but I am not generalizing here... base lang sa experience ko at nakita ko...

by the way, ST JUDE alumni din po ako...

    that's how things work here

forget the high grades or first honor or summa cum sh*t na yan

    it's who you know

    it's who your friends are

mas malaki pa chance yumaman ang isang kick-out ng LSGH kesa sa isang first honor galing public school

The 3 Taipan scions belonged to batch 1983. It didn't require any Xavier alumni to pay during the batch-sponsored school reunion. Product sponsorship alone, tiba-tiba na. Usually a batch must sell exhorbitant tickets to pay for each reunion.

Si Gibo Teodoro Jr. is a alumni too.
