Being a son of an AFP official and a PMA alumni means extra stuff for a PMA cadet. Life will not be easy for him inside the academy. However, not all companies within the academy are harsh to plebes or fourth class men. It is just bad luck if you get assigned to one of the 4 "siga" companies.

[OPINION] Fraternities are insecure men’s clubs

"You have to be really insecure to want to sacrifice your morals just to make sure you have a safety blanket when you graduate "

"A lot of organizations, however, don’t let people waive their basic human rights to get in, nor do most make it a point to bully people who are not part of it. Moreover, these organizations were set up for actual reasons, and not just as a platform for its members to do favors for each other regardless of whether they deserve it or not. Most groups have actual, concrete goals, not just a vague sense of “brotherhood” and “excellence.” Most groups do things other than chest-thumping."

I survived college without joining the frat.

Yeah, sure it's cool when you are in one but I don't see the need.

I rather have few true friends than to have many but not really knowing everyone of them.

When I was in UP Diliman, they called people without fraternity affiliations as "barbarians". Wala daw culture at breeding.

I don't know which is more barbaric - peaceful folks or those people who wack their members and fight against other fraternities using lead pipes. I even joked some friends of mine who are frat members why didn't they just arm themselves and shoot members of rival frats. I told them they do that in Mindanao but they are not called frats, they are called private armies. hehehe

The need to belong is important for these people.

It's their way of making you feel bad for not joining the frat.

Pity these people. High IQ but seems to be very low in EQ.
