I haven't been towed yet, either for illegal parking or obstruction due to stalled vehicle. However, when I parked (illegally ???) along a street in Divisoria, Manila, the police took my plates and left the TVR on my windshield. I wasn't aware that I parked illegally because there's no "No Parking" signs and there were several parked vehicles along the street where I parked. I noticed too that the plates of the other parked vehicles were still in their cars. This happened a long time ago.

that's illegal... if there is a driver in the car, the towtruck cannot tow the car for illegal parking.

Reminds me of the towing incident in Ayala Ave, Makati. The owner got off at ayala triangle and the driver waited in the car (I guess the owner will be back shortly). The towtruck came and towed the car with driver still inside.
