Photo op nalang di pa magawa ng maayo.

A new low in DPWH fails.

On a side note, parang ang sweet nila maglakad (yung sa background).

DPWH Releases New Photoshopped Image. Aims to Distract the Public.

MANILA, Philippines — After drawing flak and criticism for a Photoshopped image posted on the social networking site Facebook, the Department of Public Works and Highways or DPWH has just released a new photo, with the intent of distracting the public from it’s recent debacle.

In a post made this morning, the DPWH released the said photo with the title Find the Kitty. In the photo, DPWH Undersecretary Romeo Momo with South Manila District Engineer Mikunug Macud and Metro Manila Regional Director Reynaldo Tagudando are seen in deep thought, and apparently looking for a lost cat that strayed away from it’s owner during the devastation of typhoon Pedring.

A press statement from the government agency explains the photo in detail: “This is the real photo where the controversial image originated. Here, we could see our government officials hard at work helping the public even of the smallest detail. One of the engineers in the photo is seen describing the height of the cat to his two colleagues. After 30 minutes of searching, they were able to locate the cat and return it to it’s owner.”

A group of concerned citizens were alarmed by the incompetency of the agency with the discovery of the first doctored image. They said that the time spent by the government employee(s) who altered the image and then uploading it to Facbook should have just been used to help others in need. They are proposing to change the meaning of DPWH to Department of Photoshopped Works and Hullabaloo.

Rumors are also circulating that the agency’s employees are not that incompetent as we would have been lead to believe. An employee of who wished to remain anonymous said proudly that DPWH workers are some of the top players in the social networking game Cityville. Saying that they know what they are doing and are meant for the jobs that they have.

Did you find missing cat faster than the 3 government officials?
