been giving names to my cars ever since i can remember and i look at them as females
...different cars have different characters, even for 2 exactly the same models (year, mileage, etc)..and you have to handle each one differently...names make my ride a personal thing and that way you really take good care of them...also your ride won't likely fail on you...yun lang nga may danger of being too attached which makes it difficult to let go of them later on
..but surely you'll get a higher resale value when the time to move on comes

We call them by the three letters of their plate numbers..
Previous cars:
NPY - Nappy
PTP - PTP
PMC - PMC
PEA- PEA
PEN - PEN
UMR - UMR
lately, we called them Lance (for Lancer), Lynxie (for Lynx)

Ford 17M - Magnum
Toyota Corolla Sprinter - Popoy
Nissan Sentra - Marvin
Mitsubishi Lancer - Ester
Suzuki Esteem - Joey
Ford Lynx - Norbert

Nissan Sentra = Red
Vios = Vios
Even if we already sold Green, if we see her on the road my son would exclaim, "Ay si Green o!!"
