The anti-perspirant/deodorant is a combination of two: anti-perpirant which prevents the underarms for emiting sweat and the deodorant which is responsible for killing the germs that causes bad odor. So since sweat is prevented from coming out from the armpit, where do the sweat that's suppost to get out go? Check your shirt. The sweat is diverted to be expelled through the back.

The deodorant as mentioned earlier, just kills the germs that causes the bad odor and still allows perspiration in the underarm.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I just recalled everything from memory from what I've read a few years back, thus making me switch to deodorants instead of the anti-prespirant/deodorant.

To answer the thread, I use Forever Living Aloe Deodorant. Mejo mahal pero it serves its purpose naman. I only use it if I'm going out but not when I'm just at home or before bedtime.

Oh well, that's what the label says! hehehe! Marketing ploy! Hahaha!!

Seriously, I like it kse nabawasan yung pangingitim ng armpits ko and I smell fresher. I used Rexona, Old Spice High Endurance and Gillette before. Hindi ako masaya sa performance nilang lahat.

And yes, like most Pinoys, I bathe regularly and use a deodorant/anti-perspirant + cologne/perfume. Believe me, you'll appreciate the use of deodorants more and wish a lot more people around the world use it, after riding a train full of Indians.
....or anywhere in the Middle East (including Turkey and Egypt) where it's part of the culture not to use deodorants. Smelling armpit odor and cologne together is an interesting experience. The bad thing is, there's an "insult law". So I can't cover my nose or else I might get accused of insulting the locals and go to jail. But, you get used to the odor after a while.

What I can't stomach is "alipunga". I remember as a HS sophomore in the Philippines when I had a bad case of alipunga during a rainy Boy Scout camping trip. When I took off my soggy shoes, the odor actually made one of my tentmates throw up. Soaking my feet in a pail of water and Tide had no effect. So, my tentmates made me sleep inside the tent with my feet sticking outside in the rain.

*No, deodorant will not cause BO and hence dependence on deodorants.

My wife tells me I don't smell, maski sobrang pawis.

i don't like those deo sticks. pag dumikit sa shirt naninigas yung armpit part ng shirt. yung mga roll on malagkit din and it doesnt do a good job in minimizing perspiration

lately i've been using Nivea antiperspirant/deo spray not the roll on types. ok yun effective talaga in keeping you dry.
