Just noticed in another forum that a lot of new Fiesta and EcoSport owners give names to their cars. I also have an officemate who named his CR-V.

Personally I haven't named my car and I find it awkward to do so.

Curious to know though why people name their cars.

This time, their names are " Azul-maliksi" and "black malakas".

Curious, what difference does it make to call your car Azul Maliksi as opposed to just "ASX"?

For my family it works fine, at maganda naman ang harmony.

usually it's the kids that give name to the car.. yeah and mostly from the color of the car yung name.. like blackie for black.. goldie for gold.. minsan sa size din.. pag maliit si tiny.. pag malaki car si jumbo.. etc.

I don't name objects. We call the car by its model (corolla) or type (pick up).

I also don't get ladies naming their bags or calling it their babies
