Dentists object of molestation and robbery

A criminal with a fetish for dentists is currently out on the loose…

The Philippine Dental Association has warned its members regarding the series of incidents involving dentists to molestation and robbery. This was reported by GMA News’ “24 Oras" reported Monday.

In the report, PDA president Dr. Roberto Tajonera encouraged dentists to have a closed-circuit television or CCTV cameras and employ male bodyguards following the increase in complaints from different parts of Luzon about a new modus operandi targeting dentists.

One of the victims, who requested anonymity, exposed the new modus operandi in an exclusive interview with “24 Oras."

The victim, whose identity wants to be hidden said a mock patient who identified himself as Alvin Santos took away P40,000 in cash and other belongings in a robbery incident in her clinic. The victim said the suspect also tied her to a dental chair and molested her.

“Tinututukan niya ako ng kutsilyo," Arlene recalled.

“Nakakainis na rin yung nangyayari eh. Sobrang kapal na ng mukha nito, kasi walang nakakahuli sa kanya," the dentist added.

Meanwhile, similar cases were reported in Bulacan, Antipolo, Marikina, and Manila.

ANOTHER dental clinic was robbed by a man who also molested the dentist on Monday evening in Quezon City, according to the police.

Just last week, a man made off with P200,000 in cash and valuables from a dental clinic in Paco, Manila. Not content with his loot, he also raped one of the two dentists on duty.

PO3 Danilo Tuscano of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 9 said that Monday’s robbery happened on Anonas Road in Project 3, Quezon City.

According to him, the man came into the clinic at around 5 p.m. and complained of a toothache. At that time, the only people in the clinic were the dentist and her assistant, also a woman.

Tuscano added that after the robber had his teeth examined and fixed by the dentist, he took out a gun from his bag.

He then ordered the dentist to lie on the dental chair while her assistant was made to crouch on the floor beside the chair.

The police said the robber tied the victims’ hands and then ransacked the clinic for valuables.

Based on the dentist’s report, she lost P4,000 and $300 in cash, the clinic’s earnings for the day which amounted to P4,000, a postdated check, four cell phones, a wristwatch, a pair of diamond earrings, a necklace and a bracelet.

She added that her assistant also lost cash and belongings.

Based on the police report, after the robber ransacked the clinic, he started molesting the dentist.

At one point, he masturbated in front of the two women. He only stopped when one of the two women’s cell phones started ringing. He then quickly left the clinic.

According to the police, there have been several cases in Quezon City of female dentists who were raped in their clinics by a man who also robbed them.
