I didn't ask but 2 scenarios: He was asked to make a transaction online so he was given the card and he copied the details or he stole the card to get the details and returned it after

My friend's Mom had chest pains yesterday tuloy and in the hospital today. I think it's the betrayal that stressed her out the most.

I asked my wife to take note of all her card's numbers and CVV, I then put a CVV sticker on all her cards. You can buy those stickers from lazada or shopee.

At least we know that the waiter didn't have full details of the card kahit kunan pa nya ng picture.

Yung nabibili ma cvv sticker cover sa lazada is good.

cover the cvv in any manner.
would-be do-badders will not think of removing the cover, as it is sure to be noticed and suspicion against them will be assured.

I don't get it. Did the victims willingly gave their credit card info to invest in purchasing the laptops?

that's what it says. like any other investment scam, naengganyo sa huge return kaya ibinigay yung detalye ng mga credit cards nila para gamiting pambayad. seems they were given returns in the beginning kaya lalo pang naengganyo.

This scam happened in Australia. Apparently scammers can now send text message thru legit sender like "HSBC". You have to double your guards now, hindi porket "Gcash" galing ang text eh magtitiwsla kaagad. This is dangerous lalo na pag may thread ka ng text from let's say "BPI" then may pumasok na text dun na scam. People will tend to trust that message.

The scary thing here is they can now insert themselves into the bank's official text line.
