    about that China recovery....

Rebar Falls From Near Nine-Month High Amid Lagging Spot Demand - Bloomberg

Steel reinforcement-bar futures in Shanghai fell from the highest level in almost nine months on concern that demand for the construction material is weaker in the spot market.

Rebar for delivery in May fell by as much as 0.9 percent to 4,185 yuan ($671) a metric ton on the Shanghai Futures Exchange, before trading at 4,199 at 10:03 a.m. local time. The contract rose to 4,235 yuan yesterday, the highest since May 7.

The average spot price for rebar rose 2.9 percent in the past month, lagging behind the 5.2 percent gain in futures prices. The gap between the two prices has become too wide, encouraging selling of futures before the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday beginning Feb. 9, Zhang Xin, analyst at Yongan Futures Co., said in a report today.

The radar lock that a Chinese frigate put on a Japanese warship was “dangerous”, Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Wednesday, as tensions in a territorial row heightened further.

May sayad talaga mga Chinese ngayon. Ibang level na yung "radar lock". Mukhang gusto talaga ng confrontation 'tong PLA.

China's PLAN is not above doing provocative stunts, so this comes as no surprise.

I wonder why a lot of China experts are discounting war in the South China Sea region? Does their analysis preclude smaller military conflicts or skirmishes like these?

Parang kasama din sa plan ang US sa issue na ito. Tumaas ang sales ng armaments from SEA countries. Tiba-tiba na naman. :D

    Nabasa ko sa ibang forum.

Some Pinoys just have too much time on their hands and too much stupidity in their brains. They're always trying to find others' fault instead of fixing themselves and this dysfunctional country.

Those who have been to China will see how competitive and fast their life is, everybody striving to study hard, learn English and trying to find a good job even if it means they have to start from being a security guard or waiter in a restaurant.

I wonder what Pinoys are busy about... that's right. What new gadget to buy, showbiz, a new "Pinoy sensation" abroad, Vice Ganda's latest movie and the most recent scandal in Youtube or Facebook.

You can criticize the Chinese government all you want but this "communist" government brought China from poverty to a world superpower in a couple of decades. How about our beautiful democratic country? What have we achieved? Besides a couple of Miss Universe runner-ups and American Idol hopefuls?

Sharing some photos of China and it's financial/technological prowess for those who think China is still the backward country 20 years ago.

This, my folks who haven't step foot outside the Philippines, is CHINA.
