Tulad ni Ka Ernie, diabetic din ang tatay ko, pero almost 80 years old na siya and very active pa rin. He likes to take a lot of long walks (sa kanya yata ako nagmana), and eats only vegetables and fish with rice. Therapy niya yung pag-aalaga sa mga aso namin, as well as tending his own garden. He can even climb up our backyard pili tree para kumuha ng bunga, at nakukuha pa niya akong kulitin kung kelan daw siya magkakaroon ng apo! I guess among his fellow diabetics, he is more of the exception than the rule.

At least Ka Ernie is now browsing through that great library in the sky.

Just like the former player of Boston Celtics namely Reggie Lewis, he died of heart failure. Who would have thought that an athlete will die a natural death at that age. If im not mistaken he died in his mid 30s.

Anyone of us could die later or tomorrow no matter how many times you knock on the wood.
di ba ito yun NBA player (Boston Celtics) na natumba sa gitna ng playing court?
