The Bourne Supremacy" -- again starring an unlikely action hero in Matt Damon -- is just as thrilling, edgy and entertaining as the first installment.

In fact, the film's action sequences, including the best car chase ever filmed, are even better. And the movie also delivers a sophisticated espionage thriller showcasing a solid story with a character-driven plot.

Jason Bourne (Damon) is still on the run with his lady love Marie (Franka Potente reprising her role from the original). They're living in a small coastal town in India, and Bourne is struggling with a haunted past fueled by splintered nightmares.

Suddenly their underground existence is shattered when a mysterious professional assassin shows up. During their hasty escape, Bourne loses Marie, and he's forced to make good on the threat he made at the end of the first film when he said, "If I even feel somebody behind me, there is no measure of how fast and how hard I will bring this back to your doorstep."

    Trust me, he wasn't kidding.

And that car chase, which comes toward the end of the film, will take your breath away. It's even better than the one in "Ronin," which set the gold standard for chase sequences upon its release in 1998.

    Kainlan ilalabas itong must-see sine?

when i first read Bourne Identity, hindi ko na binitawan mula nang simulan ko in the evening until morning - ng matapos ko.

    sulit!

so i craved for Bourne Supremacy and Ultimatum -- which for me was sort of disappointing in comparison to Bourne Identity.

nung pinanood ko yung film: b. identity, disappointed din ako, not too engaging as the book. malamang disapointment din itong film sequel. well most film from books are...

I saw the movie last night! I think it was better than "Bourne Identity". They really didn't stick entirely to the details of the book. I've read both books and I guess they probably filmed it that way to make the movie more effective. There were so many details that weren't present in the movie.

I totally agree about how the car chase was described. The chase was third to the last scene of the movie. It was simply amazing. It felt like it was real. The setting kasi was in Russia when Bourne went to talk to a daughter of a couple whom Bourne has killed a few years back. Then a Russian secret service agent came after him per order of a Russian Multimillionaire who wants Bourne dead. Well, the entire Russian police was looking for him too because they were informed that he is a wanted fugitive.

Anyway, it was probably around 7-10 mins of pure car chase. It was not just a chase but also hitting a lot of cars, trucks, driving fast speed over opposing lane direction, etc. Beleive it or not, Bourne was only driving an ugly russian yellow TAXI whom he stole from a market. There was a scene when the Russian police couldn't catch him with their Russian Police generic cars, then a special police unit in a fleet of MERCEDES BENZ took over to come after him PLUS this Russian secret service agent who was using initially an AUDI car, then stole a G-class Mercedes Benz (sayang talaga tingnan kasi na-total ito when the chase ended) to chase after Bourne. Just watch the movie how they ended the chase. It was amazing how Bourne got away with these Russians running after him.

I don't want to give it all away coz I don't want to spoil your day. Manood na lang kayo! Its a good movie! It opened nga pala dito sa States July 23. It must have started to be shown there too. Kasi ngayon, sabay-sabay na nila itong pinapalabas all over the world, di ba? I am not really sure but I've noticed na sabay pinalabas ang big movies like Spiderman 1&2.

    Ciao!
