My family is a part of this community back in Bacolod. As with all other "renewal communities", each of the members have their reasons on why they decided to join in the first place. Others may look at it as a source for possible business opportunities, yet some may really be sincere. In the end, it is still up to the person on how he/she make use of the experience. If it changes the person for the better, then well and good. But if one continues in his old ways inspite of it, then thats between that person and the Lord.

Any organization of humans whatever they call themselves will still be a bunch of imperfect people. Even the Lord Jesus accepts us just as we are to His family as friends and even brothers. At best, all those who have really accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour are works in progress. Even a lifetime of daily sacrifice will not be enough for us to deserve the salvation that God has given us.

Having said that, whether a person calls himself or herself a Christian is no guaranty that he is a follower of Christ. According to Jesus Himself not all those who call Him Lord will be enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

We must be like the prophet Samuel, look into the heart of people we deal with not their labels, organizations and professions (what they say about themselves).

We were in Tagaytay last Monday and saw a banner regarding some breakfast meeting or seminar or something for the BCBP. The organization is indeed hitting high notes these days!
