Perhaps your area has no capacity surplus.

3 phase ka na tutal magdedeposit ka sa knila then you can convert your load to single phase. At least 3 phase na yung line side mo.

It's actually a good point bro,- and a WYE configuration should be the case for you to have an option for a single-phase Line-to-Line or Line-to-Neutral.... However, depends on the voltage requirements of your equipment...

Pero,- di ba dapat balanced ang 3 phases? Will your wiring be tailored for this? Or, the balancing will be left with Meralco?

30kw load for a single phase mataas yun. Some equipments now when above 6kw need 3 phase power source. Meralco will only balance yung line side nila. Sa load side yung building owner na. 3 wires *110v each.

Gonna talk to the Meralco guy next week. What's the benefit of getting 3 phase vs single phase if I have no plans yet of getting any 3 phase equipment in the near future? There is one piece that I'm considering that requires 3PH but I'm still studying the feasibility/ROI of that. That piece is so expensive it can already buy me a solar panel system for most of the roof.

Dati nun may business pa ako and I had like 40 computers per store, nag-aaway pa nga kami nun Mall kasi gusto nyo pa convert ko sa 3 phase yun pinrovide nyan single phase.

Bro, I do not understand. Power is power and so could not be significantly saved nor created with a change in power configuration from single phase to three phase.

    Can you please elaborate?

In a 3 Phase power delivery each line is energized and you will need to use two line to get the needed voltage. Power is distributed to three wires instead of two on single phase therefore more power can be delivered to the load.

I understand that bro, you give more power because the three phases are just 120deg apart,- that's the main intention of a 3 phase power. (Vs a single phase where power is practically starved for 1/2 of the cycle,- 180deg)... Of course, the "relatively thinner wires" of the 3 phase vs 1 phase on the same power requirement.

What I do not comprehend is bro.minicarph's statement that "malaki binaba ng kuryente ko" sa 3 phase.... It cannot be true, because power in is just power out... There cannot be a creation of power with just a change in the transformer configuration (a "passive" component)....

yun kasi single phase na naka-abang from them ginamit ko ng 2 years, yun pala nineteen kopong kopong wire na yun, so maliit yun wire sa konsumo ko, lagi nag-iinit yun wire. yun sabe nun buset na engineer ng mall, so bale I average like 12K / month sa bill nuon., nun ginawa ng 3 phase yun braker as well as bago yun mga wires up to the electrical room ng mall, naging 6K/month na lang bill ko noon, same mga electricals , actually di pa nga kasi gumamit pa ng mga halogens sa bago renovation

so ang suspetsa ko pag 3 phase , hinde gano stressed ang wires therefore mas optimal daloy ng kuryente. hinde nam

Bro minicarph, iyong nag-iinit na mga wires will not consume approx 550KW-Hr per month (which is approx P6K per month in electric bill)

3P motor and transformers runs efficiently than 1phase. If you have escalator/ elevator in your building and large motor then better use 3phase.
