Got bitten by the neighbor's dog while walking my dog. Di kasi nakatali dog nila tapos hostile sa dog ko pero ako ang kinagat. The wound is not serious but because I want to be sure, went to the ER for the shots and here I am mag 2 hours nang waiting. Yung hindi ka na nga sana nabadtrip sa nangyari pero na trigger sa hospital yung frustration mo. Nahahassle ako sa abala. The other patients are 'impatient' na din, sana daw sa ibang hospital na lang sila nagpunta.

Omg.. almost bit a dog too. He was in my area so I thought he would run away when I charged him. His defensive posture went on full display. Canines out and flexed his muscles. He ran towards me!!! and towards the exit. My heart stopped for a few seconds

dapat chineck mo muna kung mamatay yung kumagat sayo na aso within 2weeks. Kasi kung buhay naman eh hindi yan rabid.

Ako ilan beses na nakalmot at nadaplisan ng ngipin ng nag-aaway na pusa habang pinapakain ko eh nagworry din ako sa una pero chinecheck ko physical features kung rabid eh talagang nag-away lang sila dahil gusto mauna maka-kain.

yung bakuna kasi ng anti rabies eh sa talagang may risk lang sana.

pag naglabas ka ng aso sa bahay eh talagang risky may lalapit na ibang aso mang-aahway. Dala ka water sprayer para "sprayhan mo aso lalapit" Takot kasi sila mabasa pati pusa.

Decades ago eh parang 24hours ang san lazaro hospital. Sila pinakamura vaccine. As in ang layo ng price sa ibang government hospital. Eh what more pa kung private. Sinamahan ko yung barkada ko kinagat ng kuting na pagkaliiit-liit.

ngayon kasi hangang hapon na lang daw according sa isang senior citizen na kinagat dahil nakaapak ng pusa. Libre nga lang pag senior.

Yup, but it won't hurt to be sure because once infected there is no cure. Sinabi naman sakin ng ER doctor that I need the shots. Bad trip lang proseso nila. May nagtalak na na mommy dito kasi kanina pa sila may nauna pang iba. Not to do a Yeng Constantino but when the nurse finally gave me the shots, sabi niya "naku kanina ka pa pala".

I have an HMO card kags. So other than the needle pain and hospital visits, I've learned to be okay even after what happened. But the hospital visits can't be like this every time. I have 4 more shots to have and I don't want to have it here. Lapit ng office ko sa Makati Med I wonder if I can have it there at night time.

grabe kahit gabi madami nagpapa anti-rabies!!!! Kumikitang kabuhayan na yan. Kung ako masunod dapat maghigpit na sa stray dog. Sa pusa waley ako problema kasi cats hindi naman nanghahabol eh.

Most of my ER visits are Makati Med, never had to wait (not sure if tiempo lang or because urgent ang case ko - history of anaphylaxis)

You should give it a try. That's a nightmare having to wait so long

Naawa nga ako sa dogs ko kasi they looked at me na parang nagiguilty when in fact lagi lang silang nasa bahay, when I walk them outside it's only for few minutes and nakaleash. I had to assure them I'm not mad at them and it's not their fault.

Sabi naman ng neighbor itatali na nila yung dog.

nasabi ko lang kumikitang kabuhayan yan kasi pati gabi may nagpapa anti rabies syempre kwarta sa kanila yun kahit outpatient. Icheck mo sa billing kung magkano yan anti rabies per shot magulat ka sa laki ng difference pag icompare sa san lazaro.

I told them I will get it from another place but after reading about it, maybe I'm not supposed to have it because it's only a category 2 bite and I've had antirabies vaccine before.

Lots of stray dogs and cats in the neighborhood, I even feed the stray cats, should I get anti rabies vaccine now? How long is this effective? Or should I just get the shots when I get bitten na lang?
