Can't blame you. Either the phone agent will dismiss you at first or they will work on it. Tamad vs maayos magtrabaho.
I was like a customer from hell for a relative small amount. (What more if it was 200k like the one from the previous article).
But had to go through different stages of escalation to have it resolved though. And it took multiple calls.

kabwisit yan ah. Paano nangyari may credit limit tapos magkakaganyan. Wala ba update sa email pag ginamit credit card or apps na iremind ka ng bangko.
Buti na lang talaga ako nakikisuyo lang. hahahahah. Sakit sa ulo mga ganyan problem tatawag ka pa hotline tapos walang katapusan pag-aantay.
Or mahina lang protection ng credit card dito pinas or kahit sa america may ganyan din.
Sa banko ko sa Oman may kasamang token na mag generate ng one time PIN bago magamit card sa online transaction so kahit manakaw ang card o mahack ang account hindi rin magagamit. Then in the event na successful ang transaction, real time ang notification thru sms and email.

Mahirap kasi pag online. Unlike sa Mall, tagged as suspicious kagad ang transaction pag sa Mall na hindi mo pa nagagamit. Aa online like lazada I just need to take a picture of your card front and back and I can use it na for online.
I would have suggested to that victim to stop calling the bank at start going to the bank. Also go to the police so the police can get the address of the Lazada account and go from there.

2% over limit lang naman kaya siguro pinalusot but then what's the use of having a 200k limit if you don't use it? Pinababayaran sa kanya 238k so yung 6k was validated by her. I may be wrong, maybe she just paid the card and na timing na dun ginamit pag refresh ng limit.
In my daughter's case, 2 illegal transactions were made, ung 2nd transaction hindi na nakalusot kasi mag over na sya sa limit. And there was a text alert on her phone sent by BPI on the day the transaction was made so we called it in immediately to 89-100. The dispute was settled swiftly and reversed by BPI in about a week before the bill became due, another week later dumating na din card replacement.
^traffic in Cebu is almost like Manila's nowadays.
