I was reviewing my online BPI CC statement for the month, and they apparently charged me an extra item on my card,- a purchase from CebuPac for P5K+...

I do not remember using my card for this purpose....

Anyway,- I've been trying to call 89100 to clear this,- "sorry, all circuits are busy now" or busy dial tone...

Syet, I have a couple of BPI cards too which I don’t really track. Time to check and hopefully my funds weren’t maxed out by some imbecile.

CebuPac can be purchased online right?

Just a suggestion, black out the security code at the back of your credit card. If I'm a gas boy or waiter that receives your credit card, all I have to do is jot down your card number, expiration date and the security code at the back. Then I can use your card for online transaction. It's like having your PIN number written at your ATM.

Make sure though you write down the security code somewhere or you have it memorize. Just in case you need it.

Once bill is turned over to the collection agency, they will pester you no end. It lengthens & complicates the trail to right the mistake. Nip the error in the bud. Approach a bank personnel. Don't rely on phone calls.
I once was billed twice for an item I did not get because the store's swiper conked out & won't show any transaction. Called the bank immediately to verify....card was swiped twice. It took a while to reverse w/ the store's cooperation w/ the bank manager I had to personally approach. Grateful t'was sorted after a coupla weeks.

    Thanks for that suggestion bro.

Called 89-100 and the person in the other end started work of reversing the transaction and replacement of my CC.

Need to fill-out a form and email it to them. I will copy the BM and RM of my BPI branch to inform them of this issue.

    Hassle!

Buti nalang 5K lang. Imagine if it's a 5-digit or worse, 6-digit transaction.

Also, kawawa naman ang relatively low-income earners na budgeted ang pera. Saan naman bubunot ng pang-bayad ng CC amount na ganyan.

Made me think if I'm going to push through getting an extra BPI CC tuloy. Inofferan kasi ako.

Bakit ka badtrip today?
