Globe never asked for our old sims, in fact for upgrades, they will let you keep it because the new one takes long to be activated.

I can deal with 30 mins. But over 1 hour is so disrespectful. 2 hrs made me so mad na.

My personal driver left suddenly with zero days notice. Hassle sobra. Treated him very well. Bought him his own bnew motorcycle this year as an incentive etc. He said he is gonna be a bus driver in new zealand. So am happy for him in that sense. But the manner in which he left was so unprofessional. He literally told me this morning: "sir im leaving now. Thank you. Good bye"

    Wtf. I asked that it?????

And he said yes. I cant drive you today. Blah blah.

I said you cant even give me a few days to make arrangements and fix schedules?

He said no he has to fix his visa papers. He did say thank you for the motorycle LOL. But he never apologized for the hassle and abrupt departure.

Am happy for him and his brighter outlook but he could have told me in advance so i could prepare.

I guess it goes to show that times are hard and no matter how much you give incentives to them, the lure of a job abroad will always win out. There are exceptions but very hard to find those.

C4U's concern is, what will happen to her old sim? can some do-badder pick it up and coax its contents out, so that (s)he may be entertained, or worse... commit identity theft?
Ah my bad. Read it wrong.

Di naman ata nainstill sa kanila na 30 days notice dapat. Is he professionally employed previously?

But yes, treat them good or bad, most of the time, they will still leave for better opportunity.

I dont think he was ever professionally employed before. Bad trip lang talaga kasi the manner in which it was done was so crappy. Not an iota of concern for the employers who treated him so well for the past 3 yrs.

Example: the whole of last week he was absent because he was sick. I paid his full salary AND his doctors bills. A few days later this happens.

pansin ko nawawala totally ang malasakit sayo ng employee pag may nahanap sila work abroad

it's like they're saying F-U and cutting ties completely

di nila naisip pwede hindi sila maging ok abroad at pag balik nila kakailanganin ka parin

That sucks bigtime bro. My last driver also left without warning. Later I found out it was because I didn't give him the incentive I promised daw.

Well it was clear from the start that the incentive would only be given after he paid off his loan. He left without paying and notice. Was lucky to find a replacement after a week.

Later on I found out from checking his advances that he'd been stealing. Now he wants to go back. Even said his family was starving. I just blocked his number. No way was I taking him back.

Nowadays when I think about it I count myself lucky he left.

That's horrible. Our driver before quit suddenly too but he gave us one (or two weeks notice) Basta less than one month. Good thing is our driver is still in touch with us until now.

But ONE DAY??? And shouldn't he return the motorcycle? My understanding is its purpose is for easier transpo going to and from work.

It's really hard to find help that stays the rest of their lives. I think we are the last generation to experience that. My great grandmother's driver stayed until she died (he was with her) My Lola asked him to stay after but he said he wants to start a family na now that my great grandmother is gone. Impressive loyalty and malsakit. He is a good man.

Yan ang di ko maintindihan sa psychology nila. Pag matino yung boss, inaabuso, aalis. Pero ang dami dyan decades na sa work nila, earning peanuts from a**hole bosses.

Maybe it's true, a**holes attract better employees.

Our family business involves employing people and sending them to our clients.

Its one of our headaches when people just “dissapear” without even a text or “pasabi”
And after a few weeks they come to the office expecting to collect their last pay. Tsk tsk tsk..

Even if its stated in their employment contract about notice period and the consequences if they violate those terms, they still do it.

Not even 1 day Cathy. He gave me 5 mins notice haha and left.

I cant take back the motorcycle as he earned it. Gave it to him after his 3 yr period which was the deal.

Very hard to find trustworthy folks nowadays. I thought he was the one and trusted him completely.

*Whistler yeah you dodged a bullet there. Buti na lang it worked out in the end.

*uls yes i hope he doesnt live to regret his decision. Though i do believe New Zealand is the land of milk and honey. He will be leaving behind his newborn kid and wife though for at least 2 years.
