some folks prefer driving a boringly reliable car, over driving an exciting car that spends a significant part of its service life, inside a repair garage.

let us not confuse choice, for ignorance.

    Re ignorance

I was reacting to the post where people think VW = Beetle only

Some people don’t know VW makes cars other than the beetle

My brother had a Scirocco in the 90s and I thought it was a really nice car. My family thought otherwise because it's black, malas daw

Di ko tinitira mga Kapampangan ha. Sabi ko lang yung ibang tao di masyado knowledgeable sa kotse.

My wife and I are thinking of retiring in Pampanga. What do I like in Pampanga? Good Pinoy food, very fast roads (NLEX-SCTEX), Clark area as a whole, and laid back life.

Yun nga, boring can be good; not in a bad way.

For people na walang alam... something you don't have to keep bringing in for service is the best appliance hehe.

The camry certainly excels in this regard. You don't hear so many people bringing in their camrys for service over big issues...

I've read somewhere that in China, the phrase "May you live in exciting times" is considered a curse.

in my profession, "exciting" is something we do not look forward to.

I think that when working, you look forward to excitement only if you're in the entertainment industry

Imagine working in a nuclear power plant, then things begin to get "exciting"

    yeah

    that's what i meant

i'm glad my senior citizen mom who doesnt know anything about cars makes good decisions when buying cars

    she just relies on ratings

can't go wrong with a camry

it's as reliable as a refrigerator (plug it in and forget about it for 20 years hehe)

Reminded me of a tweet I saw a few days ago. Made me laugh (esp for those of us in IT...)

If having a coffee in the morning doesn’t wake you up, try deleting a table in a production database instead.
