The straw that broke the camel's back...

Just found out my wifi router is broken (no power). Kaya pala naka-data ang cellphone ko. It was working just fine last night. I'm thinking baka nasira ng maid when she cleaned the room awhile ago. Argh!
He does that all the time but he is good at making excuses. Natawa nga ko kasi minsan sinabi niya SL siya kasi na sprain siya sa volleyball pero sabi ng isang player e bench naman siya that day:P
BTT: A little annoyed that my Mom called me in the office stressing about how we don't have enough candies for Trick or TreatShe's blaming me because she wanted to buy more and I told her we had enough
I think 500 pcs is enough but she asked me to buy more because we can always keep the extra for Christmas. She said she will just pay me but little things like that, I don't singil anymore. Ayoko lang gumastos kasi I don't get any candies naman

Honestly, I'm always baffled when *cathy posts that she's going to work at 5pm or any time after lunch.
Personally I'd consider that tardiness even if you are doing your job or your bosses are allowing or giving consent to your habits. The HR should notice that. Check your job description or your contract with the company. That should tell you what time you are expected at the office. UNLESS it is explicitly stated in the contract that you are flexi time or can do work at home or in the field.
In my industry, we can't afford to be late. Deadline is always respected and any minute late will cost the company, monetary and in other forms of wastage.
No offense meant *cathy. Just my observation.
I always have high respect to people who goes to work on time. Actually, people who are always on time in general. Just shows they respect other's people's time also.

Should build additional controls around SL then. My company requires medical certification for illness and fit to work upon return if an employee filed for sick leave, else no pay and considered AWOL. We also have a retainer in the office who will check the employee. Of course anyone can get a med cert anywhere else but at least it is a deterrent and ground for termination if found to be spurious. At the end of the calendar year all unused VL and SL credits get converted to cash. So there is an incentive as well to come to the office even if sick.

I believe it depends upon the company's business requirements. Cathy works in a european company and the interfaces usually starts in the afternoon when EU countries have just started their business. The downside is the PH employees go home late but they have door-to-door shuttle service.
The problem I found out though is when the employees joined another company with a day shift job. They usually have a difficult time adjusting to the working hours and come to the office very late.

Dinala nanaman sa pagawaan yung isang sasakyan.
How do you convince your parents to get rid of an aging car? Pag ibang tao kausap nila, they be like, "oo nga after 5 years dispose na para hindi magastos blah blah" pero sariling sasakyan di naman inaalagan. Naiinis lang ako pag nagiging topic mga pagawain.
Naiinis din ako pag nasasabihan na baka wala na daw ako maipon kasi I buy most of the new car's accessories. Quite hard to be the only "car enthusiast" in the family.

Not if you can't even find parts for it. Isa pang problema yan, nagrereklamo din kasi magastos na daw so why not dispose it? Mas practical pa nga mag maintain ng isang sasakyan. They don't even want to drive or ride in it kesyo maalikabok sa loob and mausok (old diesel kasi). Kaya naguguluhan ako sa kanila.
I'm not even asking them to replace it with a new car, kasi may boxtype pa kami na napabayaan at sa iba pang bahay nakaparada.

It's a 99 Hi-Lander XTRM. Yung interior plastics nadudurog na, plus yung common na sakit yung mga door hinges. Tumutulo sa loob dahil siguro puro kalawang na body, etc.
I still like it though, mas gusto ko minsan i-drive kasi manual and traffic isn't that bad in the province. And it look like a mini-Trooper.

It was supposed to be restored after I graduate from college. Kaso namili ng bago kaya naisantabi nanaman. Worse, lalong naubos yung parts, missing wiper arms, etc e dapat maayos na yun ngayon.

I refused to sell the car that my Dad gave me after HS graduation. My Kuya said to just keep something from the car so I kept the badge and the buyer also let me keep the duplicate key. Sold it in 2012 when I was in my 30s already. I still get sentimental when I see a similar car on the road![]()
