The going rate for basic info on a person is only P1 (1 peso). This is the amount certain companies (credit card companies, telemarketing companies, etc.) pay to unscrupulous firms or individuals to get personal info. Ang bentahan kasi, usually in bulk, so although it may look cheap, bawi naman sa volume.

Kung tatawag pa sa cellular phone yun just to confirm your personal info, masyadong magastos.

Baka naman nagsi-C.I. or B.I. (credit/background investigation) lang. Ganun din kasi ang style namin if we wanted to validate personal information.

ang bottom line nito never give any information about yourself to strangers... sa panahon ngayon marami ng nagsusulputang racket para kumita.

baka nagkataon bago yun naka usap mo na taga globe kaya hindi alam, actually TWICE na ako natawagan ,same prepaid number but I think magkaibang telemaketer company, nun 1st time last year duda talaga ako sa offer nila, sensing that I in doubt the telemakketer gave me their office landline number to verify if its true, so tinawagan ko mukhang totoo naman, after 2 weeks may simpak nga , yun 2nd call same offer again so I just give the info that they ask me name/address/maiden name yun lang , after 2 weeks may simpak ulit

The telemarketers just put u in their database. potential customer ka. That's it.

They can also sell the database to other telemarketing firms.
Yes, malamang lead generation yung campaign nung tumawag sayo. Save lang nila yung info na nakuha sayo for future reference. Just like what uls said, "potential customer ka" na.

    Don't worry.

Tsk, tsk, tsk.
