look, i don't want to make a bigger deal out of this, and it appears that you don't either. but you haven't cleared anything up at all.

    1. you accused me of having the hidden agenda of making GMA look bad by saying she paid the ransom to divert attention away from her scandal. i'm still not sure how you came to that conclusion when i was only asking questions about the kidnapping and the after-effects of paying a ransom. i don't really participate in the GMA threads either

    2. then you said that any "intelligent, thinking person" would know that one had nothing to do with the other, and that the logic you accuse me of using is "stupid and irrelevant". it's mind-boggling that you now say you weren't implying anything.

    3. btw, chua_riwap's initial post (not sure if it's his own words or an article) directly states that GMA paid the ransom to "make papogi". it looks like a few members agreed with him, too. i guess their logic is "stupid and irrelevant", huh?

anyway, that's all i have to say on this matter. to tell the truth, i'm much more interested in the discussion of Christian Bale's gayness than these random accusations

tsinita, have you seen American Psycho?

Didn't this same thing happened during Erap's time when Gracia Burnham and many other foreigners were kidnapped by Abu Sayyaf? Erap said there was no ransom paid. But it turned out that even the government negotiator (what's his name again?) pocketed a percentage of the ransom money.

So you see, whoever sits as President will screw you one way or another. Too bad for GMA, she was caught. But there is no guarantee the next President will not screw you the same way.
