Its best to buy brand new ... remember that these are wear and tear parts .... and more importantly the parts mentioned are all inter-connected with each other ... (the fuel system).... you saved a few hundred bucks nga on the surplus part/s that you bought ......
BUT ....
When that/those part/s fails in the middle of nowhere at half past midnight .... then you'd realize what I'm talking about ...
Time to ring those MB Auto supply's ....
My 2 pesos worth ..

Check the fuel accumulator beside the fuel pump. It should maintain fuel pressure (before the fuel distributor) when vehicle is off, so restart is easier. Check fuel pressure regulator if diaphragm (and spring) are still good. This also maintains fuel pressure (after the distributor).
Near the valve cover is a cold start valve, it maintains fuel pressure when engine is cold so it can deliver more fuel during cold start up.
Yours probably has single fuel pump setup (later models had dual fuel pumps). Make sure the check valve near the fuel pump is good. If not this could also hinder fuel flow to the engine.
How is the fuel filter? If a lot of grime went into system, it could have clogged the filter. Hence, no start up.

April 6th, 2010 05:02 PM #13Guys - quick update. The car is running now... got a second opinion from a benz specialist and the culprit is fuel distributor and fuel pump. Got the parts from Benzmizer's contact - Thanks Bro.
It's still under observation and it probably needs a good tune up. Medyo malakas sa gas.. or I'll just have to get used to it (im getting 5 km to 6 km per liter).
Thanks for all your help!
