replace front seat leather because of excessive wear/stitching failure
replace camshaft sensors
replace sunroof sunshade
replace all window moldings because they fell off
cat converter heat shield fell off
multiple suspension/alignment issues
"normal" wear and tear items
replace all 4 tires every year (damn z-rated compounds)
replace brakes assembly after 50k miles (sana may pera, nag-brembo na lang)
of course, if you add ninong hens' cost of modifications, x10 na yung expenses niya sa akin, nakinabang pa siya
but the point is, people who bought bimmers or audis thinking that mercedes has poor quality will find themselves in the same boat. if you want a car that runs as smoothly and reliably as your refrigerator nandyan ang Acura at Lexus

Mabuti naman yung S40. Almost 8000km na tinakbo and so far no problems at all (knock on wood hehe). Actually, I'm kinda considering selling it cuz may pamilya na me so kailangan ng more pangpamilya car like an suv/mpv/wagon. But at the same time, nanghihinayang naman ren me if ever cuz until now, nag g-grow pa ren yung S40 sa akin and very satisfied naman me sa performance, features, & design nya. So bahala na hehe :P

I've just upgraded to leather/memory seats so I'm also worried about premature wear. Kakahiya yung camshaft sensor - hirap mag-start, namamatay makina, mahina pa hatak (limp mode).
E36 - Worn shock absorbers and bushings. A boringly reliable car, hehe.

suspension bushings
kaya ngayon, habang nag-drive may kasamang dasal!

Since you got this 2nd hand, its a good idea to change the drive belt (its cheap anyway). Also...
