Not that amazon is their direct competitor. Walmart is more of a supermarket whereas amazon is a cyber mall.
It is just they are adapting to changing times in order to survive.

Walmart is losing to Amazon but their store pick up idea was able to win back customers

For people who don't wanna line up at checkout and interact with cashiers, store pickup is a great idea

btw amazon is a direct competitor

Amazon has been killing brick and mortar stores

Walmart has been spending tons of money on e-commerce to stay competitive

Walmart's advantage over Amazon is they're everywhere in the US

90% of the US population lives within 10 miles of a walmart so store pickup is a great idea
