The interview articles that have been coming out lately say that he's different when backstage, serious and almost zen like behavior as opposed to when he's onstage, lively, hyper, engaging.

baliktad tayo. i like him best when he goes serious in his movies. the dead poet's society and goodwill hunting were seminal movies for me. his comedies on the other hand, weren't a-laugh-a-minute affairs in my view.

pero tama ka bro, when he does the late night talk show rounds, nasa element niya talaga siya. i'm guessing david letterman will miss him the most in that particular circuit
