You've proven my point! Don't tell me he doesn't expect to get "special treatment" because he's in a "media" vehicle? Pantay-pantay lang ang LAHAT ng tao. Kahit media ka pa. Kung ma-la-late ka sa presscon, kasalanan mo. This is the attitude that gets on people's nerves despite their sob stories about being underpaid and fighting for the "truth".

Hindi naman ako magpapakabit ng wangwang para makabilis sa biyahe kung late ako.

I haven't. I have friends in the media who tell me about it. Friends who DO NOT flash their media IDs or use "MEDIA" vehicles. When was the last time ABS-CBN or the Inquirer did an expose about this? You'll see "exposes" about politicians, police corruption.... BUT...

So, if a construction engineer goes to a site project aboard a car marked F.F.Cruz, he's already demanding special treatment because he builds things? Or if a doctor boards an ambulance as part of his job, does that automatically mean that he's asking for special treatment, because he saves lives?

Syempre. Negligence yun. Especially for reporters who are only paid per story. Kaya nga sa linya ng media, abut-abot dapat ang disiplina mo. As in any other line of work, iwasan mo ang ma-late, dahil ikaw din ang mananagot. Malilipasan ka ng istorya.

Don't fall into the mistake of generalizing. Marami rin sa media ang hindi pa umaangat ang buhay, kahit matagal na sila sa trabaho.

Good for you. Walang dahilan para magpakabit ka ng wang-wang kung hindi ka myembro ng Red Cross, police, emergency team or armed forces.
