Tapos final result, di tatanggapin ng ABS yung resignation nya. Tapos ang script. Tuloy ang ligaya ni Willie.

    Wowoweeeee............

It is a technical glitch of the mechanism used for cheating?

ABS-CBN says 'Wilyonaryo' game had design flaw

ABS-CBN on Thursday admitted a design flaw in the new game segment in "Wowowee" as it maintained that no cheating occured in the noontime show's August 20 episode.

"We launched a new game segment in 'Wowowee' titled Wilyonaryo. On the second day of its launch (August 20), we discovered a design flaw. There were two numbers in the same wheel, which became subject to questioning. On the next day, we corrected the flaw. While the design of the game may be flawed, we have no intention to manipulate results, but rather to add excitement and suspense," the network said in a statement.

"Unfortunately, a game show can experience glitches in its initial stages of development. But we wish to assure the public that we would increase our vigilance in the development of our games in the protection of public interest," it added.

The Kapamilya network said all its game shows are executed in accordance to its corporate values of honesty and integrity as shown by its track record.

"We assure the public that all games and contests in 'Wowowee' are executed with transparency, fairness, and honesty. 'Wowowee' will continue to give cheer, help, and fulfill the dreams of millions of viewers around the world," it said.

    No bad intentions
Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN head for TV Production, told TV Patrol World in an interview that "Wowowee" had no intention to deceive the public as perceived by the people who only relied on a video clip of the Wilyonaryo incident.

"We never intended to fool our public. Rest assured that in ABS-CBN we are always guided by our values of honesty and integrity. Nandito po kami para magpasaya ng aming televiewers, ng mga Pilpino sa buong mundo at magbigay ng katuparan sa mga pangarap," she said.

Vidanes's statement came after a host of a rival noontime show challenged "Wowowee" host Willie Revillame to explain the alleged cheating that transpired in Wilyonaryo.

The TV Patrol World report, however, said Revillame chose not to issue any more statements about the issue. The host said the comments he made on his show on Wednesday were the first and the last.

    'Explain before you complain'
As promised upon his arrival from Hong Kong on Wednesday, "Eat Bulaga" host Joey de Leon gave his reaction Thursday to Revillame's emotional public outburst against him that hogged the media spotlight. The verbal tussle between the comedian hosts started after de Leon made on-air remarks about the alleged cheating that occurred in Wilyonaryo.

"Mga kaibigan, 'pag ang bata po nadapa, tinatanong natin 'Bakit?' 'Pag nauntog, 'Bakit?' Kung buong Pilipinas pa, buong masang Pilipino at mga mahihirap na sumasali at umaasa lang sa mga ganitong palaro at may nangyaring ganoon, hindi ba karapatan din niyang magtanong, 'Bakit? Bakit nagkaganoon?'" de Leon said.

(My friends, if a child stumbles, we ask 'Why?' When he bumps his head, 'Why?' If something like this happened to our country, to the Filipino masses and the poor who join and pin their hopes on game shows, don't they have the right to ask 'Why? Why did this happen?')

"Hindi pa po pinapaliwanag nitong taong ito (Revillame) bakit nagkagulo-gulo. Bakit hindi na lang lumabas iyong dos? Bakit mayroong zero muna? Iyon po ang nasa YouTube at sa kung anu-ano pa," he added.

(This person has not explained why things got messed up. Why was the P2 million jackpot price a no show? Why did a zero amount appear first? That was seen on a YouTube video clip)

Taking around five minutes of airtime from his show to address the controversy surrounding the August 20 episode of Wilyonaryo, de Leon re-enacted on his own what took place during the game based on video clips uploaded to popular video-sharing Web site YouTube.

De Leon, in his account of what happened, never mentioned Revillame's name, initially referring to him as "isang nilalang at isang kaluluwa na siniraan ang inyong lingkod" before addressing him as "kaibigan (friend)" three times.

The veteran host said Revillame was wrong to single him out as his accuser.

Explain before you complain. Ganoon lang po iyan," he said.

(Why don't you explain things first before you pass the blame and divert the attention of those who want their questions answered? Instead you chose to attack other people first to divert attention from the issue. I'm speaking for the millions of Filipino viewers who are seeking an explanation... In the spirit of fairness maybe we should explain things. This is for you my friend. Explain before you complain. It's that simple.)

    Doubts linger
De Leon said Revillame's outburst did not erase the doubts on the minds of the audience because he focused on his personal hurts.

"Isa lang ang pakiusap ko kaibigan sa iyo. Pag-aralan mo na magpaliwanag kung may dapat kang ipaliwanag na mga di umano ay mga pagkakamali mo. Dahil pare-pareho tayo ng ginagawa para sa tao. Laging sinasabi mo iyan. Para sa bayan... Kung anuman ang kalabasan ng reaksyon ng tao sa iyo, tanggapin natin," he said.

(I ask only one thing from you, my friend. Think about explaining if you have faults that need explaining. We do the same things for people. You always say that. It's for the people... Whatever the outcome of people's reactions to what you did may be, accept it.)

De Leon, who is part of a triumvirate of veteran actors and TV hosts, also took potshots at Revillame's emotional yet tearless moment on national television.

"At isa pa, importante sa lahat. Pag-aralan mong umiyak nang may luha. Kasi alam mo madali lang naman lumuha. Kumuha ka ng sibuyas o alcohol, pisikan mo ang mata mo. Alam mo sinusundot mong ganoon. Ayoko namang, masyado mo akong fina-flatter. Baka sabihin ng tao, si Joey siya ang kauna-unahang nagpaiyak ng dugo sa isang tao. Huwag, masakit iyon. Dudugo iyan. Iyon lamang kaibigan," he said.

(Another thing, and this is most important. Learn how to cry with tears because you know it's easy to shed tears. Get an onion or alcohol for your eyes. You flatter me too much. The people might say I was the first one to make a person shed blood tears. Don't, that's painful. That’s it, friend)

De Leon, who also co-hosts GMA-7's showbiz talk show "Star Talk" and the Sunday public affairs show "Mel & Joey," said he will not stop talking about the issue on his shows until Revillame heeds the call to explain the "Wilyonaryo" incident.

Turning naughty anew, he greeted the senators whom he said may be watching the show.

"Alam n'yo inuuna n'yo 'yang 'Hello, Garci.' Bakit hindi niyo muna unahin itong 'Hello Papi? Joke lang! Joke (Why do you bother with 'Hello, Garci.' Why not investigate first this 'Helo, Papi?' Just joking)!" he said, referring to how Revillame is fondly called by his female co-hosts.

    National issue
De Leon was probably pushing his luck by inviting, albeit jokingly, the Senate to investigate the Wilyonaryo controversy but someone from the upper chamber took him seriously.

Sen. Manuel Roxas has asked a Cabinet agency to report on complaints his office received regarding the alleged fraud committed in the game show before the Senate conducts its own investigation.

Roxas said it was important to understand the nature of the alleged rigging involved, and the proper manner and venue in which to address this.

“We will look into this by first asking the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) what are the complaints, who are the complainants, and what it has done and intends to do about this matter,” Roxas, a former trade secretary, said. Only after these facts are provided, he added, could the Senate look into the issue.

“Based on this information, we shall file an appropriate resolution for a Senate inquiry with the end-goal of strengthening our consumer welfare code.”
The senator heads the committee on trade and commerce in the Senate

Willie was so upset, kaya cguro sha nakapag salita on-air ng ganun.

my opinion, i think willie has no intetion of cheating or whatever. Host lang din sha, its not his job to make those magic box. come to think of this, if you watch em (both noontime show). sinu sa dalawang station ang mas maraming natutulungan na contestant or sinu sa dalawang station ang mas laging may nakaka jackpot?

ako i come up with employee-employer issues sa work ko almost on a day to day basis.... pag may kausap ka na empleyado na may sablay na nagawa... kadalasan ang sagot: "... di naman po sinasadya.... " standard na sagot na yan... whether talagang hindi sinasadya o palusot lang yun, you have to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident...

dito sa case na to... ganun din... madali mag justify.. but to accept the justification, tignan natin circumstances around it

kung as ABSCBN says eh : The Kapamilya network said all its game shows are executed in accordance to its corporate values of honesty and integrity as shown by its track record : they should have lived up to it even before the game show was launched... may quality check din dapat before they launch..

this should serve as a lesson...
