agree with the other posts. definitely get a firewire card.

ano ba system mo? you might be needing further upgrades na din eventually. for ex. HD, memory, processor and DVD burner. (dagdag gastos na naman hehehe)

I'm using Pinnacle Studio 9 and Premiere 7 right now. pero more of premiere user ako kasi. ok lang yung mga nakukuha sa Greenhills. no problems with the software..

currently naka-pass-thru ang DV camera ko sa firewire, anything I need to connect dumadaan na lang through this DV camera.

yebo: was just asking the same question to villman computers but for me it's for capturing dv images from my camcorder to a laptop. they reccomended Snazio Pocket PVR which costs P5998. see mo, www.snazio.com/Links/PVR.html meron din yata sila sa villman for a desktop, mas mura http://www.villman.com/
sir yebo, hardware na ba ung encoding nya? im currently using a winfast TV 2000 deluxe, medyo nagiging choppy ung recordings on my p4 2ghz

ic B). ang impression ko kc pag external type na tuners/recorders, hardware encoding na; kaso lang, when you read the specs, they don't explicitly mention this. kung ako nagbebenta ng tuner na me hw compression, i'd do my best to brag about it B)

currently i'm saving up for a winfast pvr2000. from what i gather this is just barely above entry level, pero at least me hardware mpeg I/II encoding na

thanks po for all the suggestions!

mushi: cge ill try to check din the taiwan video cards. sana nga i can find something that would suit my needs.

dehadista: AMD ATHLON XP 1.2ghz, 80 GB, 512 RAM, Inno Tornado GE Force.

badkuk: i also have winfastpvr. i use it when i capture tv programs. ok nga xa kse mpeg na kya lang the problem i have with this is when i try to edit it thru studio. before sa studio 8, nagha-hang ung video or entirely ayaw nya lumabas sa preview window. minsan ok xa pero minsan ayaw tlaga.. but this is just my experience

then pag meron ka na turuan mo ko ha ehehehe! wala pa ko alam e, naubos na kasi yung dv tapes ko so need ko ilipat sa vcd/dvd, mas mura kasi blank disk kesa dv tape.
tnx po! cge sir, tingnan ko rin sa villman. narinig ko na rin tong brand na to before pero i haven't seen it's specs.. cge po turuam ko kya pag marunong na ko. hehehe..

    yebo,

Since it's DV to laptop transfer you're after that is not the optimal solution for you. All you need is a firewire pc card for your laptop. Cost at Villman for this card is only about 2K.

The Snazio you are mentioning is far from optimal as it will capture in analog and then convert to digital. You will lose picture quality from your original DV tape. This will only be useful for you if you want to view TV on your laptop.

    Hi Good Day!
I'm using pinnacle studio 9 for the last 5 years unlock lahat ang rtfx, bravo pack etc. ang kasama lang nya is Php.250.00 na firewire card from CDR king. Edit din ako Video. Small time lang din planning to upgrade to pinnacle 14 ultimate collection hope may mabilan na ako this year. Adobe is still best pero if you want fast output DVD video ok na ang Studio 9. If you want to see sample Visit www.Azyfix.webs.com simple edit lang makikita mo dun.. if interested sa Studio 9 complete unlock contact me. ^_^
