Movie: The Spiderwick Chronicles (no spoilers)

We watched the advance screening of the Spiderwick Chronicles last night at IMAX (the regular screening starts today, Feb 14).

From the trailers, it was kinda ho-hum for me... another Harry Potter movie wannabe in the making was the first thing that crossed my mind.

But as soon as the film started... WHOA! Those thoughts were completely dispelled... there never was a dull moment in the movie as its fast pace kept you on the edge of your seats. There was a good mix of comedy, suspense & even terror. Everyone from kids to grannies will surely enjoy this movie.

Though I feel that the *magical* characters weren't given enough screen time (well except for the bad guys) to explain their existence and that sort of stuff (and makes you want to buy the book - hehe).

Overall, it's a GREAT movie for the family!

Uy present din ako dun sa premier night.. Was with my wifey, my son, and nephew ni wifey!
The kids enjoyed watching the movie, to think it was past their bedtime..

Hindi sila inantok..

We're you the one seated near the front (and in the middle)?

Sayang at hindi na ako kumain sa cocktails (by Fish & Co.) since yun din ang lunch namin. :rofl:

Sa IMAX ito? May 3D ba? Mga ilang minuto naman ang scenes na 3D?

Dun nga kami pumwesto, medyo late na kasi kami dumating eh..
Sayang kasi yung cocktails..
